Flat brown spots that appear because of the accumulation of lipofuscin
(naturally occurring dark brown pigment soluble in fat) in the tissue unrelated
to sun exposure, often malignant. |

The Treatment End Point is full vaporization with light graying of tissue at treatment time. The area turns darker within a few hours and flakes off in about one week. If the pigment is diffuse or light brown, the end point is not as obvious, however, the lesion should turn darker and flake off as normal. The expected outcome is full resolution. Dark brown lentigines require two or more treatments. |
